“I’ve been in pastoral ministry for 22 years, and planted a church just 7 years ago.  Even though the new church was going well, I began to see areas in my ministry where I was plateauing and becoming discouraged.  Some of those areas were in outreach and evangelism.  I hired Vinny Tauriello as my ministry coach because of his experience as church planter, his heart for the gospel, and his background in pastoral counseling.  He is gifted in asking insightful questions that made me think deeper and clearer about the how, the why, and the what of the ministry process.  But most importantly, Vinny consistently pointed me to focus on Christ for my motivation, power, and sufficiency.  During the coaching year I grew not only in the area of community outreach, but also in my love for God and his Kingdom.  So at the end of our coaching year, I hired him to mentor me through my summer sabbatical!  I highly recommend Vinny as your next coach.”

“Having Vinny as my coach provided great encouragement to me as I knew I had someone praying for me, counseling me and speaking truth to me.  It also helped me keep in right priority my walk with God and family. Professionally it helped me to push forward in new ways with confidence and further develop my gifts and leadership.   Especially in moving in uncharted territory for me.  Vinny, listened well and asked great questions that helped bring out my thoughts, feelings, and attitudes.  He helped me process situations and chart a way forward. He understood me, my gifts, challenges, opportunities, and demonstrated love and concern for me and my family.”

“I’m a church planter in Pittsburgh and worked with Vinny for a year. I always left our meetings encouraged, having been heard, and with tangible ideas to put in play for the planting of our church. Sometimes these ideas are “big picture” themes that develop over time, other times they are more personally applicable to my own walk with the Lord. I can definitely look back over that time and see his positive influence on the development of our core group and overall strategy. He asks good questions and comes with his own ideas and perspectives to each of our calls. He loves Jesus and the gospel and makes sure church planting is ultimately done for Christ’s glory.”

“Vinny’s training has been extremely helpful. He was able to help me see many of my strengths and weaknesses in my leadership. At the same time, Vinny helped me see how I can improve upon those weaknesses throughout the weeks of training I had with him."

I had the good fortune to work with Vinny Tauriello for about five years as he coached our worship leaders. Vinny worked with us to help us become better musicians, but he also spent time helping us to understand WHAT we were singing. Worship music has gone through great transition over the last 30 years, but the greatest transition for our teams at New Hope was to FIRST and FOREMOST consider the content of the music we were singing – was it Biblical and did it lead us into worship. Of course, singing scripture was the best, but after that, we had to carefully examine the words that we would use to praise our King. Songs that had ‘wimpy’ lyrics or were overly repetitive or just ‘catchy’ often had to be discarded, but we were able to move to a depth of worship in music that was rich in content. From a musical standpoint, Vinny was kind and gentle but truthful in how we should best use our voices and instruments. I personally am not a soloist, but incorporate good harmonies into the vocals. We were able to better evaluate our talents and I grew a great deal from Vinny’s thoughts and comments. I have now become a bit of a worship music ‘snob,’ discarding many worship songs that have weak lyrics or are not musically singable. I credit that growth to my coach and friend, Vinny.

I cannot understate the importance of personal health both spiritually, mentally, and relationally in pastoral ministry. Sadly, it’s an area that many pastors, including myself, often take for granted. But I’m thankful for my time with Vinny who helped me re-evaluate my overall health as a leader. The things I’ve learned about myself from his coaching sessions has already proven to be valuable and I am confident that it will continue to bear fruit in the future. Vinny is down-to-earth, understanding, and has a tremendous amount of experience and wisdom for young pastors such as myself. I would highly recommend taking his coaching session if you strive to be an effective, humble, and healthy leader.
